LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - I had the privilege of serving our country during my four-year tour of duty with the U.S. Marine Corps. Although I have been a civilian for nearly twenty years, there is not a day that goes by that I do not tap into the vast experiences I learned in the Corps. Leadership, honor, and integrity are the foundation for my life and my business.

The creation of my company, Think GREAT, is largely based on my military service. During my wife’s first battle with cancer, our lives spun out of control. I searched for something that I could do to help her. Just before she received her first dose of chemotherapy, her oncologist pulled me aside and instructed me to “keep her positive.” He wanted me to keep her spirits high to give her the fighting chance she needed for survival.

Once I received my “Caregiver’s Orders” I tapped into the discipline that I learned in the Marine Corps to help me carry them out. I discovered that Gina responded most positively to setting goals – to focusing on a brighter future. But setting goals and accomplishing goals are two different things, especially when you are faced with challenging circumstances.

It was during this time that I harnessed my experiences in the Marine Corps to develop The GOAL Formula, my strategy to accomplish any goal – personal or professional. The GOAL Formula teaches you how to take the five steps to accomplishing goals within a specified block of time, and how to enlist the help of others to make your goals a reality.

Since the launch of my book, The GOAL Formula, I have not only trained individuals, businesses, and charity organizations, but I have been fortunate to return to my military roots and train our troops, including the Marine Corps. No matter what circumstances you face, you never have to give up on your goals!
