Two Million Views and Growing

SAN DIEGO - In early 2009, two years after leaving the Marine Corps, I was a business owner with a chain of ten convenience stores in Louisiana. But my heart was back here in California with some other things I felt God was calling me to do.  After careful consideration and prayer, my family and I decided to leave the business to follow our hearts and return to California to get involved with the fitness industry. 

At the same time this was happening, I received an e-mail from Aaron Banks (a fellow Marine who was in film school) and we started developing a professional working relationship.  We talked about our days in the Corps, and then I remembered I had boot camp footage. 

Aaron and I talked about professionally editing the footage.  That way, people would have the opportunity to get an inside look into recruit training.  The first video that we released was Ears, Open. Eyeballs, Click. SDI SSgt Nichols as a Green Belt Drill Instructor.  That was the beginning of many more videos to come.

As of September 28, 2011, the videos we have released have reached over 2 million views on my YouTube page.  This single idea led to further developments, including:

1. More video releases
2. My book, Black Friday – Prepare for Enlisted Boot Camp
3. The launch of Moto Entertainment LLC in 2009, and
4. The launch of MDI 8 in 2011

We have had a great response from viewers.  The videos have become a reference point to help motivate, empower and educate those interested in military content.
